This cannabilised Toyota Aygo was spotted advertised at one salvage auction website as having sustained, “accident damage”. This is not the case as the missing driver’s window suggests : forced access has been gained to release the bonnet lever then a socket set with a 10mm bit for bolts with a flathead screwdriver used to release clips to steal front-end parts. Those crims also attempted to remove the rear bumper but were hopefully interrupted in the process.
Questions: why hadn’t the alarm sounded to deter and how do you knowingly know that a part purchased isn’t stolen as I need a bonnet for our identical Aygo – although ours was truly accident damaged ! Furthermore, will anti-theft bolts deter thieves who are targeting the trio of Aygo, 108 and C1?
