The Celerio had been impacted beneath the bumper bar distorting the spare wheel well. Scissor jack and wood, anyone ?I suspect the rear-end shunt forced our Suzuki into another vehicle kinking bumper bar ends and snapping headlight lugs.Above shows crumpled spare wheel well. Two blocks of wood and a scissor jack later…One more scissor jack pull then hammering using a trolley jack beneath the wheel well for additional support.
Our spends so far including auction charges for the Celerio are £1506 and £120 on a matching rear bumper. Someone pilfered our wheeltrims and one nearside rear bumper bracket – that was broken !
The insurance assessor appeared overzealous with his evaluation judging by the blue pen marks ! ‘A’ indicates Accident and the circles on the doors highlight minor scratches.
Note to self: A 2014 Fiat 500 L tailgate will not fit the same model from the subsequent year – £160 spent on a tailgate that would not fit !
