Swift Hybrid leads for best fuel efficiency once again

Suzuki has a renowned reputation for producing very fuel-efficient Hybrid cars that match, or in some cases even beat the official WLTP combined MPG figure in real world driving.

Experts at car shopping platform CarGurus reviewed the current market to find the most fuel-efficient vehicles on sale and Swift Hybrid ranked first based on its WLTP combined fuel consumption of 64.2mpg.

Chris Knapman, Editorial Director CarGurus UK comments: “Our research shows that the Suzuki Swift is the most fuel-efficient petrol car you can buy in the UK right now, with its mild-hybrid 1.2-litre engine returning an impressive 64.2mpg on the official WLTP cycle. The good news doesn’t stop there: the Swift is also genuinely enjoyable to drive, roomy for a car of its size, and great value too”

Swift Hybrid remains a high value proposition in its sector at less than £20,000 for the Motion grade and Suzuki offer a 0% PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) through until the end of June. This arrangement is payable over four years and, if the highly specified 1.2-litre Hybrid Motion model with manual transmission is chosen, an initial deposit of just £237 will require 48 monthly payments of £237 followed by the usual optional final payment to keep the car. Options to make zero or larger deposits are also available to customers with monthly payment amounts adjusted accordingly.

For customers who keep their car for the longer term, Suzuki include up to 10 years’ Service Activated Warranty once the vehicle reaches the end of its manufacturer warranty period of three years / 60,000 miles and is booked in for its next scheduled service within the Suzuki Dealer network.

This warranty stays in place until the next qualifying service and is then simply renewed again up to a maximum vehicle age of 10 years / 100,000 miles – whichever comes first.
