Salvaging our 2020 Suzuki Swift !

Our Suzuki Swift appears to have been rammed from behind into another vehicle. That warning sticker indicates that this is a mild hybrid model with a 48V battery beneath the passenger seat – charged by regenerative braking.

Driver’s corner has taken a vertical impact (into something red) although wing and front bumper can be easily repaired with brute force, kettle, plastic welder and a hammer handle. That headlight is beyond salvation yet a replacement has been bought for £35 with broken lugs. Daytime running light above the foglight has a broken lense and isn’t working.
Rear slam panel is creased from the rear impact. It’ll need a pull with a scissor-jack inside the boot with slats of wood to equalise pressure to affected areas.
Nearside box section has been compressed so Category S most certainly !

There’s a matching replacement tailgate for sale at £300 but I’ve pried the largest dents out with a piece of wood. Rear bumper has been saved using hot water and a £7.59 plastic welder but that crack needs strengthening using epoxy.

I bid £2100 (in mid-May) for the Swift with auction costs of £456 and spent £100 on delivery. A further £35 was spent on a replacement headlight with £7.59 on a plastic welder.
